Supervision
I've had the pleasure of supervising associate licensed clinicians for the past 7 years. I have been independently licensed for 15 years and have experience in most social work roles that you can think of. I bring with me a sizeable knowledge base and a life long love of learning. I believe supervision should be an opportunity for growth and development an opportunity to work together towards meeting your goals.
Our profession attracts passionate, intelligent and hard-working people and as such I pride myself in working diligently to ensure that your supervision experience meets your needs and expectations. I believe that fit, style and personality play a large role in ensuring a successful supervisory relationship. My supervision style is naturally free flowing and organic. I start with checking in.
I support and encourage grounding and centering approaches at the beginning of any session. It is very important to me to interrupt the toxic cultural messaging that suggests we perform our work roles without being effected by the areas of our life outside of work. I want to know as much or as little about you as you desire to share so that I can be as effective as possible in honoring what you may want or need. It is my goal to ensure that sessions feel safe, supported and judgement free.
Following checking in, grounding and settling we will explore any cases that you may want support around. We will explore case conceptualization, treatment planning, therapeutic approaches and modalities, as well as resources and anything else that might be important to you. I am always up for pivoting and expending time during your sessions to touch on any area that you wish.
I like to finish supervision with one last check in, a moment to speak to and honor your growth, your wins, and all of your good work. It is important to me that you walk away from every session feeling supported, grounded and energized.
On a regular basis we will ensure that you are on track to obtain the hours that you want in the timeline that you desire. We will complete supervision reports for your board and find ways to ensure that you have clarity around where you are in the licensure process and where you are headed.
