Background and Therapeutic Approach
My focus is on creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood—without judgment or pressure. I aim to meet you where you are and support you in making sense of your experiences at your own pace.
I work from a holistic and strengths-based perspective, helping you build insight, develop practical tools, and reconnect with your own sense of direction. I integrate evidence-based practices with a relational approach, recognizing that healing often happens through genuine connection and trust.
My clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. I’m trained in trauma-informed care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and motivational interviewing to support meaningful and lasting change.
I provide therapy through telehealth, offering a comfortable and accessible way to engage in this work from wherever you are. My style is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative—focused on helping you move toward a life that feels more authentic, aligned and manageable.
My approach to therapy is fluid and organic. I hold space for the areas of life that arise and need processing, while also keeping track of the goals and needs that brought you to therapy. I do not utilize any one therapeutic approach because I find that similar to so many situations in life, one size does not fit all. I tailor my approach to best fit your needs which often results in my use of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, somatic therapy and more. I am always happy to utilize specific approaches that you feel would be helpful or have experienced as helpful in the past. I honor that you know yourself best and thus am always open to thoughts, feedback and exploration of what is working for you in sessions and what is not.
I often suggest therapeutic homework options, which are always an option and never an expectation. I want to ensure that you feel supported around your efforts to work towards goals between sessions, if you so desire.
I often utilize guided meditations and visualization exercises in my practice. I believe that cultivating mindfulness is an incredibly effective approach to reducing depression, anxiety and stress. I have been cultivating my own mindfulness practice for over 15 years. I have developed mindfulness course curriculum and provided guided meditation to small groups and classes. I enjoy supporting clients in reducing the barriers and challenges that they find in developing a mindfulness practice.
